A threat of violence against an Olympic College student was brought to the attention of the Safety and Security office today.
Rocky Wallace, supervisor of Safety and Security, said, “This was a specific threat to do bodily harm to a specific student.”
Wednesday at 915 a.m., the Safety and Security office was contacted by the Bremerton Police Department to notify them of a threat made against an OC student.
The student was notified of the threat, and “strongly advised to leave campus and return home for her safety,” said Wallace.
The individual who made the threat was not a student of this college, but the threat led the BPD to believe that the student was in danger while on campus.
BPD took the person who had made the threat into custody at approximately 10:15 a.m.
Any student concerned with their safety on campus should notify the Safety and Security Office, located in the Bremer Student Center as soon as possible.
More information will be posted as it becomes available.
