Winter Quarter Welcome Booths

Student Programs and Leadership Development is looking to staff welcome booths for two days in January with blocks of a couple hours per staff.  The two booths will be outside the Bremer Student Center and the College Service Center for Jan. 7 and 8. Engineers Without Borders

There will be a meeting on Friday at 2 p.m. in Science/Technology Building Room 136 for the new local chapter of Engineers Without Borders.  As part of a nationwide organization, this group encourages students to take initiative and get involved in their community. Currently, the Olympic College chapter is organizing the development and construction of a footbridge at Clear Creek in Silverdale. Grant Proposal Writing Workshop

The Grant Institute workshop will be held in Seattle from Dec. 10-14. Those interested including researchers, faculty members, development professionals and students are encouraged to register immediately. The workshop consists of a five-day intensive and interactive experience. The fundamentals of grant proposal writing with expert guidance are presented with four separate courses. Registration is $997 and includes all materials and certification. Have You Ever Seen The Rain?

All campuses were closed on Monday including evening classes. On the Bremerton campus, minor water leaks were reported and water had made its way into Room 147 of the Science and Technology building.
