maze of corridors that
makes up the Art Building
on Bremerton's Olympic
College campus is the Career
Center, an often overlooked
but vital resource for the
future careers of OC students
and alumni.
The Career Center offers
a vast number of programs
to put you on the right path
for your education. Whether
you know what you want to
do with your future career
or are undecided, the center
offers you a priceless opportunity
to explore the many
different business fields
available.
For a list of businesses
participating in the program
you can refer to the
internship and community
volunteer service resource
book on the Career Center
Web site or the job listing
link if you are interested in
paid internships.
Internships are beneficial
if you are certain on
your future career. A faculty
member will work out
a learning objective to help
the supervisor tailor your
work experience to your
specific career goal. Some
benefits include gaining college
credit, job experience
for your résumé, professional
contacts and on the
job training in a position
that may become permanent
after graduation.
Volunteering is a good
route if you are undecided
about your future goals.
